THE STORY OF
WOODINGTON
A NEW CHAPTER
Set in the rolling hills of Tottenham, Woodington has long been known for its big courses, patio views, and the kind of place golfers could spend the entire day. With two full 18-hole championship layouts and a large clubhouse designed for gathering, it has always had the space and setting for something special.
The Legend Course opened in 1995 and quickly became a favourite for players drawn to a strong, classic challenge. The clubhouse followed soon after, creating a home base for tournaments, events, and long days that did not end when the final putt dropped. In 2007, the Legacy Course was added, introducing a more open, modern style of golf and giving players two distinct ways to experience the property.
Now, Woodington is entering a new chapter.
In 2026, Woodington became part of the Purposeful Golf portfolio, a group focused on building modern golf destinations designed around how people actually play and socialize today.
Purposeful Golf properties prioritize hospitality first, energy and atmosphere over formality, and experiences that feel fun, relaxed, and memorable. The focus is simple: deliver great golf, approachable pricing, and a lively, welcoming environment that keeps people coming back with their friends.
At Woodington, that means high-quality conditions, a rerouting that allows golfers to start and finish at the clubhouse, smooth operations, music and energy throughout the property, craveable food and drinks, and a culture that values connection over tradition.
Because today, great golf is not just about the course. It is about how the experience makes you feel.
Woodington joins a growing portfolio that includes Manitou Ridge and National Pines, clubs known for strong course design, quality settings, and a premium but approachable feel.
